Welcome to the MPG Matrix Education Page

The MPG Matrix is a tool for modeling ecosystems to see the connections between organisms and how they may affect one another.

The MPG Matrix was developed by scientists. They create models of ecosystems and use the data to make recommendations, set up experiments, develop wildlife management plans, combat invasive species, and much more.

Curriculum and Learning Experiences

A group of educators is working with the MPG Matrix to create curriculum and instructional videos to be used in the classroom. Students will use the MPG Matrix to learn about ecosystem interactions, answer questions, and maybe, create their own experiments.

Use the Matrix in a real-world case study looking at the longitudinal research project conducted by MPG Ranch on Mountain Lion populations and behaviors. This case study is housed on the MentorIC platform and has resources for teaching as well as step-by-step instruction for students.
